The Government of India, Ministry of Finance, through its Gazette Notification No. S.O. 1625(E) dated 5th April 2025, announced the amalgamation of four Regional Rural Banks — Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank, Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank, Saptagiri Grameena Bank, and Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank in the State of Andhra Pradesh into a single new entity. Accordingly, Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank (APGB) has been established effective from 1st May 2025.

The Head Office of the newly formed Bank is located at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Sponsored by the Union Bank of India. Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank is committed to ushering in prosperity and plenty with care and concern for the financial needs of the cross-section of the rural populace across all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
